SMB Server Room
As the SMB server room expands, the IT administrator is faced with a number of issues including space limitations, servers inconveniently located, cable clutter and server room disorganization. There may also be staffing issues such as trying to cope with administering a growing number of heterogeneous servers, and ensuring 24/7 application availability.
Avocent AutoView® switches and SwitchView 1000 switches provide immediate benefits to the SMB (small to medium size business) server room. With a 1U-high design, the switches do not compete for valuable rack space in SMB server rooms. The AutoView 1415, 1515 and 2015 switches provide support for the user’s USB and/or PS/2 keyboards and mice. The AutoView switches also provide support for USB, PS/2, Sun, and serial target devices.
The Avocent SwitchView® IP remote access device provides an economical way to add remote access capability to your existing KVM switches. With the SwitchView IP remote access device, you can use your browser to control and reboot your servers anywhere, anytime.
The Avocent LCD17 rack console provides out-of-band access to KVM switches in SMB, data centers and server rooms for convenient access and control of your PCs and servers. Its1U-slide in design maximizes space in your rack. The LCD17 rack console’s unique dual rail design allows the keyboard and 17-inch LCD display to slide in and out independently of each other for easy operator use. You can view the display and continuously monitor servers even when the rack door is closed.
